Rugged detachable laptops a powerful option for the USGS

CONDITIONS ARE TOUGH. GET THE TOOLS TO MATCH.

Designed for the demands of nearly any environment, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 is a fully rugged, lightweight laptop that easily detaches to become a 10.1″ tablet. The Toughbook 20 is a multifunctional tool that the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) can easily utilize for both field data collection and as a desktop
replacement.

The device features a durable MIL-STD-810G and IP65 design along with a magnesium alloy chassis. It comes with a sunlight-viewable display, gloved multi-touch capabilities and a new waterproof digitizer. Despite being fully rugged, its fanless design is lighter and thinner for easy portability. At 3.9 pounds (tablet weight is 2.1 pounds), this machine is great on the go.

Rugged tablets for First Responders on FL State Contract

Several of our first responder customers are running EMS software on rugged tablets in the back of their vehicles. As your GovDirect account manager, I wanted to make sure you have the latest spec information on Panasonic’s Android A2 tablet and the convertible CF-20 2-in-1 laptop. These have been our most popular sellers among Fire and Ambulance customers as they are fully rugged and small enough to fit comfortably in cramped workspaces.

I will be at the upcoming “First there, First Care” conference in June and hope to share demos of these devices with you there.  If you would like to discuss setting up a demo or seeing budgetary pricing in the meantime, please give me a call. I would be glad to discuss rugged devices and the other technology that is available to you on the FL state contract from GovDirect.

Approved Technology on the Virginia State Contract

Wanted to make sure you have a list of the technology available for procurement from GovDirect on state purchasing contracts for this year’s projects.

  • Panasonic Toughbook mobile devices such as the fully rugged and detachable CF-20. I have a demo available, please reach out if you would like an evaluation. You can see an overview of Panasonic Public Sector skus and services here.
  • Cradlepoint and NetMotion mobile connectivity solutions optimize bandwidth over networks as video applications use large quantities of data.
  • Digital Evidence Management Services. I am certified to engineer and install Arbitrator solutions and can perform post-deployment services.  Panasonic Arbitrator solutions are listed on VA contract #E194-73322-MA2201. Reach out if you would like a free analysis of how you’re managing digital evidence today.

We can also support with free grant writing support services. If you want to set up a call or onsite meeting to discuss technology solutions that are available to you on the VA contract, NASPO, National IPA and others, please let us know.
